On Movie Monday, FREESKIER brings you free movies from the wide world of skiing. With a mix of old and new, this is where you can find your weekly dose of freeski history, adrenaline and cinema mastery all in one.
With a new film from the Blank Collective on the way, we decided to revisit their latest offering this week on Movie Monday. “Fortune Hunters” was one of our favorite ski films from last year. The crew chose to use a unique format throughout the film, giving each segment a chapter title. This highlights the unique locations and athletes, allowing the viewer to follow along with deeper context. Ski movie plots can sometimes feel forced or derivative, but that’s not the case here. From the mountains of Japan to pillow lines in British Columbia, the Blank Collective riders found their fortunes last season. Keep an eye for their new project, “Camp Blank,” dropping this fall.
In a world where the winter season no longer follows the rhythms it once did, expectant skiers must embark on a journey for the ultimate prize. A journey that will take them far and wide, across continents and over oceans. With some local guidance and a whole lot of grit, the Hunters of The Blank Collective won’t stop until they strike it rich and bring home the spoils.
