During a 1997 trip to Valdez, AK, Shane McConkey suffered a torn ACL, but rather than spend his time on the couch, he gave birth to the whiskey-loving, sponsor-pleasing godfather of snowlerblading, Saucerboy. McConkey’s character quickly rose to cult status in the ski world, and, much like the man who created him, his legacy will live on for eternity.
