In April 2024, Level 1 and friends stormed into Mammoth, California for the 21st edition of the global talent search that is SuperUnknown. What began as a video-only contest has become an in-person gathering like none other, blending freeski generations in a one-of-a-kind invitational. There is no mistaking SuperUnknown, and there is no mistaking the filming of Gavin Rudy.
One of the primary directors of the (former) Strictly crew, Rudy has pursued several projects since the group released their final film nearly two years ago. “Pink Eden” is his latest creation, chronicling the happenings of SuperUnknown 21 in his characteristic style. Here we’re treated to a unique portrait of both the skiing and the people who make it all happen. From the jump line to the party bus, the sunset shoot to the closing awards, “Pink Eden” is a wonderfully sentimental look at this slice of time.
