Your favorite skiers, favorite skiing grandpa has been blowing people’s minds and showing these young park rats what a real freestyle skier looks like since he was released from prison 3 years ago. A professional mogul skier in the early 70s, Hot Dog Hans was the face of the skiing world, winning every competition. He was the true king of skiing, until his kingdom came crashing down when he was put into prison for 45 years for partying just a little too hard. Since his release, Hot Dog has taken over the park scene in North America, competed against X Games gold medalist Alex Ferreira in a halfpipe battle for the ages, taught Birk Ruud how to snowboard and played golf with Lance Armstrong. Yet, none of this compares to his most recent journey.
Flying across the pond to the land of milk chocolate and iconic mountains, Hot Dog Hans found himself in the East of Switzerland at LAAX Ski Resort, home to one of the best terrain parks in Europe and home to The 2024 Swatch Nines project. Every year, the Nines collective brings the best terrain park builders from around the world to craft a terrain park so insane it’s like something out of a video game. Then the Nines team invites the best freestyle skiers and snowboarders from around the world to ride this pristine masterpiece.
As fate has it, Hot Dog Hans planned his trip to Switzerland the same weekend the Nines contest was going down. In his iconic attire of jeans, a 70s Columbia Bomber, Völkl beanie and 1-of-1 Hot Dog skis, this might just be the most iconic Hot Dog Hans edits we have ever seen…

Alex Ferreira in Hotdog Hans 5 🇨🇭🔥🌭 Time to uncork some of that ’80s top shelf in the Swiss Alps. Hans didn’t come for warm-up laps. With Volkl Skis strapped and Swatch Nines on deck, he’s here to prove that style doesn’t age.
