The buzz is still fresh from the unveiling of Deer Valley Resort’s all-new Keetley Express lift, and the accompanying 300-plus acres of new terrain that it serves. This opening marks the first phase of the resort’s expansion beyond its former eastern boundary. Additionally, it now provides access from the newly constructed Deer Valley East Village, creating an additional gateway that doesn’t require navigating the hustle and bustle of Park City.
The state-of-the-art lift is a quicker way to get to a part of the mountain that used to require multiple lifts to access. Once skiers unload Keetley Express they are at the base of the Sultan Express lift, which serves the summit of 9400’ Bald Mountain, allowing a seamless connection to the heart of Deer Valley. It isn’t just about access however, in true Deer Valley fashion Keetley Express is a luxurious experience unto itself. As the resort’s first six-person bubble chairlift, it keeps skiers warm and protected from the elements as it rapidly ascends the hill.
When it opened to the public for the very first time on the morning of December 31, the new zone was met with excitement as fresh snow had fallen the previous night and the lucky ones who were up early and ready to shreddy got a taste of the new terrain covered in a smooth blanket of pow.

If you missed the lift’s opening day, don’t worry, there will be an official grand opening celebration on January 9, 2025 from 8 to 9 a.m. The first 500 skiers that morning can look forward to complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, signature treats and a commemorative sticker.
The 24/25 season is off to a solid start, and if the early buzz is any indicator, this expansion is going to be a highlight for years to come. Whether you’re ripping down the new runs or enjoying the fresh atmosphere of the Deer Valley East Village, the Keetley Express has already cemented its place as a must-ride addition to the resort’s world-class offerings.
