High Fives Foundation explains why #HelmetsAreCool in latest installment of B.A.S.I.C.S.

Lake Tahoe based High Fives Foundation is dedicated to providing support to action sports athletes who suffer life threatening injuries. #HelmetsAreCool is the latest installment in High Fives’ Being. Aware. Safe. In. Critical. Situations. (B.A.S.I.C.S.) Program Service. The video focuses on bringing attention to the importance of wearing a helmet when participating in action sports, and details Danny Toumarkine’s recovery from a Traumatic Brain Injury sustained while snowboarding without a helmet. Skiers Cody Townsend, Michelle Parker and Julia Mancuso all make appearances to explain how helmets have helped them in their lives.
