As the holiday season quickly approaches, it can be overwhelming to distinguish between all the different outdoor products when trying to purchase a gift for a loved one. To make this a little easier, we constantly keep our pulse on the industry to find the newest and most innovative products out there, and as our gift to you, we have put together a list of our favorite products for 2024-2025.
1. Bracelayer KXV Alpine Boot Cut
For many skiers, knee protection is of utmost importance, and the KXV thermal baselayer is a low-profile way to protect your knees from the rigors of skiing. The foundation of the KXV is a thermal compression material named StabiLuxe™ Lite that provides compression on the entire leg and keeps you warm. Lining the hips, IT Band and surrounding the knee is a 1.5mm perforated piece of medical grade neoprene.
2. Kuhl Rydr Lite Pant
Kühl’s Rydr pant has been in production since 1996 with an emphasis on rugged durability and the slight use of spandex for comfort. This year, Kühl is taking the success of their staple pant and making it 30% lighter. The Rydr Pant Lite utilizes a midweight EuroLux fabric comprised of a soft cotton blend and spandex for stretch, creating a pant that can be dressed up or down while feeling soft and unobtrusive on the leg.
4. Fjallraven Expedition Fleece Hoodie
The versatility of a hoodie midlayer cannot be understated, and the Expedition Fleece is a prime example of how they should be produced. Produced without PFAS from a blend of partly recycled polyester and elastane, the Expedition Fleece hugs the body keeping you warm while having enough elasticity to enhance mobility and wick moisture away from base layers. A classic design with two-way front zipper, raglan sleeves to avoid the risk of chafing under a backpack, zippered hand pockets and a fitted hood.
3. Kuhl Eskape Duffel
Utilizing a waterproof TPU-laminated nylon fabric, large central compartment and heavily padded shoulder straps, the Eskape Duffel from Kühl is ideal for the on-the-go traveler who prioritizes durability. On all sides surrounding the central pocket you’ll find compartments in varying sizes, enabling you to distribute your gear evenly and protect your belongings if you have soiled gear.
