So, it just made sense for Douchebags— the luggage company Olsson founded with longtime pal Truls Brataas in 2009—to create a full line of products decked out in, you guessed it, camo.

Olsson and his team have worked tirelessly to bring this limited-edition line to life, which features four of the brand’s top-notch bags touting the signature camo design. More specifically, the line includes The Douchebag (ski bag), The Big Bastard 90L (huge roller bag), The Hugger 30L (midsize backpack) and The Base 15L (smaller backpack).

“I do love how camo can give a product a totally unique look,” says Olsson, thrilled with the outcome of the line. “I think that there are so many bags out there that look the same and don’t tell me anything, so that’s why I like these. You can be sure that no one out there will mistake your bag for theirs… Especially at the airport!”

Hans Gunleiksrud, Douchebag’s general manager of North America, adds that this release is an example of where the brand is going—not following the typical product schedule many competitors go by.

“In general, the sporting goods industry—and snow sports in particular—are doing new product launches once or twice a year; one for fall/winter and one for spring/summer. We think that is not consumer-friendly, and this project is, in many ways, the start of a new era for Douchebags. We will bring to market on a continuous basis new products, styles and colors throughout the entire year. We do believe everybody likes to see new updates and news all the time and not just once or twice a year.”

On top of the sleek new designs, the tech behind these bags is also quite impressive. Each one is built with tough, water-resistant polyester, durable zippers and protective Rib Cage padding. And the list of useful features at-hand is on-point, too. For example: The Douchebag rolls up into itself, optimal for storing when not in use; The Big Bastard has a hook-up system for attaching smaller Douchebags when traveling; The Hugger 30L’s laptop sleeve has a super-handy zippered side for easy access; and the Base 15L’s entire side panel zips open, really ideal for grabbing and stowing various belongings on the go.

Taking the creation of this new line into consideration, as well as the growth Douchebags has seen over the years, Olsson is totally overjoyed. He knows very well that this brand has come a long way since its founding nearly a decade ago.

“I am so stoked on how Douchebags is doing,” he says. “It’s always been a dream of mine to start a brand, and to see it really taking off now is so sick. It’s easy to have an idea but to find the right people to help you bring it to life is the hard part, so all the credit goes out to all the guys that kick ass every day in the company!”
