FREESKIER Premiere Party Tour — Park City Recap

FREESKIER Premiere Party Tour — Park City Recap

Team FREESKIER is hitting the road again to celebrate the start of ski season. We’re teaming up with the best filmmakers in the industry to show you the latest and greatest movies followed by after parties that go late into the night. Check out the full tour schedule to see where we’re stopping next.

Following a whirlwind evening in Zig Zag Bozeman, Montana, hosting a movie screening of Level 1 Productions’ Zig Zag and an rip roarin’ afterparty at the Molly Brown Bar, team FREESKIER hopped back in the RV as the sun crested the horizon and headed south for Park City, Utah.

FREESKIER’s Premiere Party Tour had its second stop of five last night, celebrating skiing with the crew at Matchstick Productions (MSP) and hoards of locals who came out to both the movie showing and afterparty. With gear giveaways from The North Face, Blizzard, Pit Viper and a hefty gift card provided by Salt Lake city ski shop SportsDen it was unsurprising that the crowd’s delight turned palpable before the movie began.

All In garnered plenty of attention prior to its premiere last weekend, as it sets a new, groundbreaking standard in ski movies: It’s the production company’s—and the industry’s—first film featuring an equal number of women and men on its athlete roster. “This isn’t your typical ‘women can shred too’ film,” says Matchstick. “This is a kick-ass ski film that just happens to feature as many women as men.”

Glued to the edge of their seats, the audience stayed put until the final credits rolled and the lights in the Park City Library theater turned back on, which garnered one final, collective cheer of excitement from the crowd. Finally, the over-21 bunch relocated to PC’s only true nightclub, Downstairs, for the official afterparty.

San Diego-based Lavelle Dupree brought the house down with a thumping DJ set and FREESKIER kept the stoke high with heaps of gear that we had the privelage to toss into the crowd. Bluetooth headphones from Skullcandy, radical sunglasses from Pit Viper, hats, koozies, and stickers from Montucky Cold Snacks and apparel from Goldwin, Icelantic, Kari Traa and Vaurnet were all items included in the gear giveaway.

Last call was promptly at 1AM, when the last of Dupree’s tracks played out. Soon after, all was quiet at Downstairs and the FREESKIER crew was already thinking about tomorrow’s shindig just down the highway in Salt Lake City.
