During Sverre Liliequist’s second big-mountain run at the Swatch Skiers Cup, a large swatch of the mountain ripped all around him. According to KC Deane’s report for Freeskier.com, Sverre was unaware of the danger that was closing in on him.
So he did the one thing every badass big-mountain skier does at the end of his run: he threw a massive backflip over a cliff, nearly landing on top of the slide. He stomped, and rode away with the sketchiest and most exciting line of the day.
