A true legend in the world of skiing, Shane McConkey was well-known for mind-blowing ski BASE jumps, among many other things. This video from Red Bull shows off his very first one in Tahoe, California—full of adrenaline and pure stoke. Six years later, in March of 2009, McConkey would tragically die from different ski BASE jump in the Italian Dolomites. To this day, this man’s sheer enthusiasm and stoke continue to inspire skiers and it’s safe to say that he will never be forgotten.
