Nordica has just unveiled its NRGy line, an all-mountain ski series which aims to deliver what so many skiers are looking for: a lightweight ski that doesn’t compromise performance. The new i-Core Torsion Bridge Ti construction uses a wood core that is supplemented by a layer of Titanal. Nothing new there until you learn that the Titanal layer has strategically shaped and positioned portions removed from it to add strength where it’s needed and remove weight where it’s not.
The NRGy line also uses a new tip shape, with a low-rise shovel profile that makes it easier to float through softer snow. A slight taper and touch of rocker in the tail help provide added pop and playfulness, while an extended sidecut gives full edge control and added stability when you’re screaming down steep groomers.
Stay tuned for more from Nordica, and follow along with the brand using the hashtag #NRGybyNordica on your social media outlets.
