Caroline Gleich has her fair share of haters. But that hasn’t stopped the 30-year-old, Utah-based skier and mountaineer from accomplishing personal objectives in the mountains.
Taking five years to complete her latest project—ski every line in the well-known guidebook, The Chuting Gallery, written by renowned climber Andrew McLean—Gleich has now released a short film, entitled Follow Through, about her adventures in collaboration with REI and Duct Tape Then Beer.
Chronicling the highs-and-lows of the demanding, multi-year project, the film aims to inspire others “to do that thing they’ve always wanted to do and to tackle a big, ambitious goal,” Gleich explains in an interview with REI.
The only woman, and one of only four others to ski all 90 lines in the book, Gleich enters an impressive group of ski mountaineers who have committed ample time and energy to Utah’s Wasatch Range. Watching the film above, Gleich’s personality is electrifying, to say the least.
Shining through the negativity, overcoming the loss of close friends and family members, maintaining focus and realizing her goal, Gleich is equally inspiring as she is inspired. How will you follow through?
