At FREESKIER, we see a lot of powder skiing. A lot. It’s one of the best parts of the job. So when we say that “Wildcard” is one of our favorite pow films of the last few years, you know that statement holds weight. Strictly made a name for themselves through their long-form annual films. But in 2021, they decided to break their efforts into three projects, with “Wildcard” being focused on two things; skiing the deepest powder and hitting giant backcountry kickers.
It’s an enticing recipe made even better when you toss in a few wildcards! We won’t spoil the surprise, but the team pulled out all the stops and brought in a few names you know and love. Andrew Mildenberger added his signature style from behind the lens, creating a film that will undoubtedly age like a bottle of fine wine.
