We at FREESKIER love a good soundtrack. It can be the lifeblood of any good ski edit. But what is left when you strip away the bass and are left with just the skiing? In “Whispers,” Caution Media put this approach to the test. Building around the visual and audible sensations of the outdoors, they’ve delivered an incredible project that will have you appreciating those long days where there’s nothing to distract you but the gentle gust of a winter breeze.
The crew is composed primarily of younger riders who are exploding onto the scene. We’ve had an eye on Kaz Sosonkowski and Renner Skidmore for the last few seasons, and these two skiers are stepping it up in each project. However, they’re certainly not the only two who deliver crushing parts in “Whispers.” Featured throughout the film is a consistent barrage of talent that makes the viewer feel as though they’re along for the ride in the best possible way. While this short movie is a masterful work in terms of camera work, sound design and riding, there’s no doubt that the best is yet to come from Caution Media.
