Woodward At Copper Now Open. Check it out.

There has been an incredible buzz around the new Woodward facility here at Copper Mountain for some time and during the US Open, Freeskier got a chance to check out the Woodward At Copper Barn. Copper also invited the US Open athletes to check out the facilities… and let me tell you, they are amazing. Here is what you can expect:

The Barn
This is not Farmer McDonald’s Barn. The Woodward at Copper Barn is a 20,000 sq foot training facility built specifically for you! Guests will have access to The Barn’s snowflex ramps, foam pits, trampolines and stretching and tumbling floors all in the name of park and pipe progression. The Barn is an environmentally friendly building as well, having received a Two Green Globe rating from Green Globes, a group which certifies sustainable building projects across North America. The Barn earns its rating through an energy efficient ventilation and air purifying system that will help to save lots of energy per year.

Park and Pipe
Woodward at Copper campers and guests will not only have access the 20,000 sq ft training facility, but there also lucky enough to shred through Copper’s nationally recognized terrain parks and Superpipe. Copper’s Main Vein Superpipe has been the first to open in North America for 4 years running and pulled down a Top Ten Pipes nod from Transworld Snowboarding. Copper’s Park and Pipe team, in conjunction with Snow Park Technologies, has created a terrain park system grounded in Progression. Start on Copper’s 5 ft kicker and make your way up to the big jump line in Catalyst Terrain Park all in 5 ft increments. With a full progression of jumps and features, Copper’s terrain parks encourage safety through learning and progression.
