So I’m sure by now this is repetitive news but I thought I might as well give my side of the story…

This season TGR posted up at Steven’s Pass for a two week park shoot. T Hall, Sage, Dana F, Dylan H, Dash, and myslef all came to finish off our segs. Always a good way to wrap up the season, ya know?

Tanner and Flip here… good cunts. Looking forward to getting healthy so i can get back out with these two focks!

This is Jump 3 the “moto jump” This jump eventually claimed the end of both Tanner and my season. Thursday May 14th Tanner and myself along with Dylan sessioned this feature… no problems. We were stoked to get to shoot on it the next day when it was suppose to get sunny. Sure enough, Friday May 15th the sun came, we salted, prepped and prepaired. I guinied it, overshot… cracked my heels, severe cuncushion, and shattered eye socket from my knee impacting my face.

Coulda been the salt, sun, who knows. Conditions change daily and the snow can be so easily affected by salt, maybe a slight change in angle of the take off, whatever it is. Either way I had a few good convos with Tanner previous to our injuries about how awkward it is skiing pow and BC all winter then trying to come out in the spring and step to this level of park riding… insane… right?

The following Day, Saturday May 16th, Tanner stepped up to the feature… greased a first hit, and overshot same as myself…. FUCK! is all i can say. Both Tibial Plateau’s broken… season over for the both of us.

I now sit on my couch with a fresh titanium plate just installed two days ago behind my eye. My heels are still too tender to walk on and I’m looking at a couple months of recovery.

Not the best way to end the season but could be worse.

Peace.
