Micah Evangelista puts his home on a pedestal in two year project, BOURN

“Home” can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. It can be the place that you were born and try to run away from. It can be a person who makes you feel a certain type of way. Or it can be an adopted location that provides the lifestyle you’ve been searching for. For Micah Evangelista, home is Glacier, Washington, and Mt. Baker Ski Area is his childhood playground.

In this two-year project, Micah and his mom, Julianne, reflect on the moments and mindsets that have set Micah up for the path he’s on now. Just shy of 15 minutes in length, BOURN is an entirely foot-powered project in the backcountry of Mt. Baker. Accompanied by friends and fellow locals, including Cody Cirillo, Sophia Rouches, Lucas Wachs, Hank Kennedy and Cameron Munn, Micah returns to his favorite zones and features with an entirely new zest for the life this area of the world provides.
