Northern New Mexico ski area, Angel Fire Resort, announced today its newest offering, The Teacher Pass. An industry first, The Teacher Pass is a heavily–and I mean heavily–discounted season pass for the educators of today’s youth. Teachers K-12 nationwide can purchase an Angel Fire season pass for just $99 now through December 13, 2018. Come opening day, December 14, The Teacher Pass will still be available for $199.
“With school starting back up there’s no better time to offer teachers a discount on our season pass,” said Robin May, ski and snowboard director for Angel Fire Resort in a press release. “We know as classes begin many teachers have to plan their holiday plans well in advance. We’re offering the Teacher Season Pass early in the year to help educators as they begin planning their winter holidays.”
The pass was designed to thank teachers for all of the work they do educating our next generation and purposely has zero blackout dates so teachers can use their pass on holiday breaks or whenever is most convenient for them.
“We can’t thank teachers enough for the incredible work they do educating children. Their lives are dedicated to work that is often overlooked. We wanted a way to thank them for all they’re doing for our kids by offering them a value-driven opportunity to ski or snowboard at our mountain,” said May.
Angel Fire Resort boasts 560 acres of skiable terrain with a summit elevation of 10,677 feet and a vertical drop of 2,077 feet. With an average annual snowfall of 210 inches, skiers can enjoy 80 trails–21 percent beginner, 56 percent intermediate and 23 percent advanced–three terrain parks and over 30 acres of glade skiing.
The Teacher Pass is available to purchase online but teachers will need to present their 2018-19 school ID and a recent pay stub from a school anywhere in the country on their first day of use in order to validate the pass.
