Go upside down and all around in Banks Gilberti’s new film, “Stick To Your Guns”

Banks Gilberti—motorcycling, skateboarding and skiing aficionado—just released his film Stick To Your Guns, and it’s a real beaut’. Shot mainly in Gilberti’s home state of Idaho, the film includes a solid balance of backcountry, park and just-for-fun resort skiing. He’s joined by friends like LJ Strenio and Khai Krepela, who up the energy of Stick To Your Guns, big time.

The end of the film takes place in Montana, where Gilberti linked up with Bobby Brown to launch massive backcountry booters and thread big lines. Some of said booters look familiar from Brown’s highly-acclaimed project, Be Water, and it’s fun to see Gilberti tackle the behemoth beasts with his own unique style.

Much of the praise for this film should go to the creative man behind it all, too: Jake Strassman. Gilberti couldn’t have done it without this filming and editing master. Additional camera work came from the following: Spencer Cordovan, Chase Cleveland, Jeremy Lato, Wyatt Caldwell, Yancy Caldwell, Johnny DeCesare, Alex Martini, Erik Mehus, Eric Pollard and Jeff Wright.

Independent ski films are popping up like crazy right now—something we’re 100-percent stoked about—and this is one that deserves some serious attention from the skiing community.
