While Memorial Day weekend often signifies the start of summer, someone failed to inform Mother Nature of this idea. Whiteface Mountain, located in Lake Placid, NY, saw the snow start to fall on Saturday (5/25) and by the time it finished late Sunday there was about three feet of fresh blanketing the hill. The storm also dropped over a foot of new snow on Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak.
