Eldora Mountain Resort, located 21 miles west of Boulder, Colorado, will be offering Woodward sessions for the 2016-17 ski season. Woodward, a lifestyle and action sports camp, is already well-established in Colorado, with its Woodward Copper location just 80 miles from Denver at Copper Mountain. The Eldora location will offer beginner skiers the chance to progress their freestyle skills before moving on to the bigger facilities at Woodward Copper.
The Start with Woodward program will take place both on-snow and inside the Woodward facility, and first time skiers will utilize balance boards, soft floor gymnastics and snow surface terrain to develop competency on two planks. The young skiers will also be introduced to terrain park features from day one, in order to develop an understanding of them from day one.
From there, skiers will move up to the Ride with Woodward program, which will further establish basic and freestyle skiing skills. Once Ride with Woodward is completed, it’s time for the young shredders to move on to the bigger, more advanced Woodward Copper facilities.
“We’re thrilled to bring The Woodward Experience to our guests, and to those who value the benefits of outdoor recreation by making modern skiing and riding a part of their life,” says J.P. Chevalier, director of marketing and skier services at Eldora. “Our vision is that The Woodward Experience helps parents pass down their passions for snow sports to their kids by giving kids a memorable experience with loads of fun.”
With Woodward’s presence now being felt at Eldora, local skiers can expect an increased focus on building quality terrain parks, as evidenced by the video below.
