Before we dive head first into winter 2012/13, it’s important that we reflect on a winter season gone by. Dreary as it was—for most—many skiers managed to deliver outstanding performances on the competition stage, through web edits, on movie screens and beyond. Recognizing the best of the best, it’s time to vote for the 2012 Skier of the Year.
The Skier of the Year is chosen by you, the FREESKIER faithful. In the past month, our team joined together and watched film after film, edit after edit and flipped through contest results. We contemplated all we had seen over the past 12 months and nominated 16 male skiers and 8 female skiers. We put all the names in a hat and drew them out one by one to make a bracket. The results are your first round matchups.
The women’s bracket will open November 7. This round of 16 will be open through November 7.
