Teton Gravity Research premiered their latest ski odyssey “Re:Session” to two standing room only shows this past weekend at Jackson Hole. TGR pulled out all the stops for an entire weekend of activities including a golf tourney, TGR family dinner, movie premiere and rock-solid after-party. It’s an action packed schedule guaranteed to thrill even the most seasoned industry partygoers. If you weren’t holding your liver while driving home from Jackson this past Sunday that means you probably weren’t invited.

Re:Session was a non stop thrill-ride and here are some of the moments that stuck out and made it to my Field Notes while I was watching the flick…
- Sammy Carlson’s segment starts off with him explaining that he used his pow skis more than his park skis last season. It shows in his segment. His backcountry tree-taps and dub-corks almost steal the show.
- Tanner Hall’s evolution into a big-mountain slayer continues with his mind-boggling ability to bring 7’s into his AK lines. Here’s a sneak peek at his segment.
- Sage. Enough said.
- Callum Pettit’s segment contains a near death experience. We won’t spoil the surprise, just see the movie to find out why he’s lucky to be alive.
- Erik Roner closes out the movie with a teriffic Shane McConkey tribute

The Re:Session premiere truly was the ticket to be had if you were anywhere in the Jackson area. It’s the only time I’ve honestly seen ticket scalpers outside of a ski movie premiere. That is a true testament to TGR’s rabid local following and amazing support they receive from the community.

The Afterparty
TGR doesn’t just turn the lights off and politely ask everyone to go home after the movie is over. After the credits rolled and the cheers subsided, everyone lucky enough to cop a ticket to the official Re:Session after-party walked a few yards down the village for live entertainment from a Led Zeppelin cover band and enough adult beverages to drown a small village.
TGR Staff, industry insiders, athletes and locals were in attendance and in true Jackson fashion getting rowdy. Memories get a bit blurry and there are a few deleted scenes after 1:00 AM, however thanks to the wonders of Facebook and photo tagging many partygoers were piecing together memories the next morning after logging into the social networking juggernaut.

Many thanks to all the folks at TGR for the hospitality in Jackson this previous weekend.
