Vail Resorts harnesses wind energy
Committed to operating on 100-percent renewable energy, Vail Resorts brought its first wind farm project online at the beginning of July. Harnessing power from a large-scale wind farm, the Colorado based company will be able to utilize the energy to match 90-percent of its electrical output across its 34 resorts in North America. As a part of Vail Resorts’ “Commitment to Zero” sustainability pledge, the Company has a goal to reach 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030.
Resorts across the United States resume summer activities
As more and more states ease travel restrictions and social distancing guidelines, many ski resorts across the country are proudly re-opening for summer activities such as mountain biking, hiking and scenic gondola/chairlift rides. North American Snowsports Journalism Association provides outlook on upcoming winter season
