In a press release sent out this week, Backcountry Access (BCA) is recommending all users of its popular Tracker2 avalanche transceiver update the device’s software via this web page. The update is designed to help the device’s functionality in power-save mode.

President Trump bands immigrant workers through end of 2020; ski resorts worry over repercussions

Following an announcement by United States President Donald Trump last week banning immigrant workers from obtaining work visas through the end of the year, ski resorts are fretting over employment side-effects. Many ski resort employees—that already struggling to fill positions—are often college students from South America working through their summer months. Resorts are unsure how deep of an impact the immigration ban will have on the upcoming winter season.

Resorts across Colorado, Utah resume summer activities

As more and more towns ease travel restrictions and social distancing guidelines, many ski resorts across the country are proudly re-opening for summer activities such as mountain biking and hiking. Colorado and Utah are just two states actively calling for mountain-goers to return to resorts.

Aspen and Roaring Fork Valley awarded Gold Level Ride certification

With accreditation from the International Mountain Biking Association, Aspen Snowmass and the greater Roaring Fork Valley are one of only five “Gold Level” destinations in the United States; the only in Colorado. Lift-accessed trails at the Snowmass Bike Park offer an amazing variety of downhill experiences, while the surrounding area provides mountain bikers to explore many, many miles of cross-country trails.
