Ikon Pass is stepping up in response to the shortened winter, the uncertainty of current times and the understanding that many skier’s cannot commit to future travel plans. Now, the conglomerate ski pass, which provides access to 41 iconic global mountain destinations across North and South America, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, is now offering “Adventure Assurance” on all Ikon Passes purchased for the 2020-21 winter season.

In short, any Ikon Pass that is purchased for next winter (2020-21) can be deferred to the following season (2021-22) for no extra cost, no questions asked. The deferral window will be open from September 10 to December 10, 2020.

“In addition to the double renewal discounts provided for the shortened 19/20 winter season, we are now offering Adventure Assurance, the ability to defer a 20/21 Ikon Pass to winter 21/22, for any reason, with no fee,” said Erik Forsell, chief marketing officer at Alterra Mountain Company in a press release. “We understand skiers and riders may feel unsure about the future and it may be difficult to commit to adventures still months away. We hope this new option enables them to feel the confidence to purchase today, or whenever they are ready.”

Apart from Adventure Assurance, Ikon Pass is also doubling renewal savings—offering up to $200 off the full Ikon Pass—and extending the renewal deadline until June 16, 2020. If you’re running a tighter budget but still want to commit to Ikon Pass, the program also offers a payment plan with four payments, only $199 down and zero percent interest.
