April 16th, 2008 – Sugarbowl, CA. Sugarbowl Ski Resort in association with Wally Balls Productions will host the first annual High Fives contest at the Mt Judah base, 12pm-4pm on April 26th, 2008.
A field of 15 invited local athletes will compete in a contest focused simply on 540’s. BBQ, DJ’s, Prizes, Cash, and on-snow demos will round out the day.
High Fives is a contest to honor the return of our friend, Roy Tuscany, to skiing after he suffered a life altering spine injury just two years ago while training at Mammoth Mtn, Ca. Roy was a coach with the Sugarbowl Ski Academy, focusing on freeride and slopestyle skiing. Through determination and positivity, Roy has rehabilitated his way back to the slopes, and continues to be an active member within the snow sport community.
