We get a lot of people e-mailing us here at Freeskier saying, “Hey, I want to be a digger! How can I get into it?”
Our first response is usually, “Well, you probably don’t really know what you’re getting yourself into.”
Wake up at 6 am, work all morning digging and carrying around 50-pound bags of salt, ride for a couple hours, dig and carry more salt, then go home. First one on the hill, last one off.
For some people, this really is The Dream. For others, it will feel like slave-labor.
