The Dumont Cup is taking the world by storm

The Dumont Cup is taking the world by storm

The Inaugural Dumont Cup… Sunshine, slush, and a great course permeated the day here at Sunday River, Maine. Practice started this afternoon, after Simon and the park crew here at SR put the finishing touches on the course. East coast kid, amateur and pro alike all session-ed as onlookers gawked from the chair. The rail option to step down to step up to staircase feature is getting dialed in tonight by the park staff, and the stage will be set for tomorrow’s event.

A huge jam session with the judges, pros and Dumont handing out bibs to the open competitors will take over the morning. Then the afternoon the pros will mingle with the qualifiers… doing battle on the course here at Sunday River. Get ready for more ski action than you can shake a stick at tomorrow. And if you’re in the Northeast, just shoot on up to beautiful Sunday River and check out all the action.

Cheese, Marge and Jos slide the stair set.

Simon tests his jump out with a flatspin 720.

Matt Margetts… Bluuuuuunt.
