At the 2011 OnPoint Community Credit Union Bend WinterFest, the largest winter festival in the Northwest, it is common knowledge that snow and ice are more than just road hazards – they are artistic mediums. Visitors will have a chance to display their own talents by signing up to compete in the snow sculpture contest.

Located in Festival Center, the 2011 Ice Carving and Snow Sculpting Contest attracts groups and individuals from around the region. While the ice carving portion of the contest fills up quickly with professional-level artists from around the region; the snow sculpture component provides an opportunity for all types of participants to try their talents. Snow sculptors are encouraged to participate in groups to represent a business or club. Winners in each category will receive the following:

1st place – $1000
2nd place – $350
3rd place – $150
