The team at ZEAL Optics are all about the journey, and as winter looms large this October, we partnered up with the Boulder-based brand on a contest that celebrates the dreaming, the plotting and the scheming that are going into making this winter your best ever. The ZEAL athletes are currently gearing up for journeys to all corners of the globe and we hope you are as well, and with that in mind, we launched the #ExploreMoreHD Instagram contest to ignite the stoke.

In short, to be eligible to win, folks needed to post a photo to Instagram—showcasing themselves preparing for winter—add a caption of no more than 50 words, tag #ExploreMoreHD and follow @ZealOptics. The contest ran from October 1-14, and by the time she wrapped up, we counted more than 900 submissions.

After sifting through the entries, we narrowed the field down to 10 finalists. From there, the ZEAL athletes selected a third place finisher, the ZEAL staff selected a runner-up and the Freeskier staff joined together to select the grand prize winner. For their efforts, each of the top three will receive a pair of ZEAL HD Camera Goggles. The grand prize winner will also receive a free, three-year subscription to Freeskier magazine. Winners will be contacted by Freeskier staff via Instagram.
