2011 Park Ski Test at Breck: Video Previews of Best ’11-’12 Park Skis & Another Action Packed Edit

If you've been checking the site regularly (which you should be doing [insert stern brow and waving finger of doom here]), then you'll know that the 2011 Freeskier Park Ski Test invaded Breckenridge last week.

You might have seen the early recaps, the daily photo galleries, and our first highlight video; if so, then it'll come as no surprise that we had a pretty gosh-darn-awesome time.

Video Highlights: #2

Today, we'd like to just get it on record; this year's Park Test was pure, pure gold. We enjoyed five consecutive days of sunshine, the terrain parks rank amongst the best in the world, next year's skis are all top notch, and our testers absolutely killed it. The epic BBQ lunches, and the equally fantastic family dinners are just a few examples of the other various happenings that contributed to the success of the week.

We've certainly had some long days at previous Ski Tests, where testers and staffers were eager to wrap up at the 3:30 bell, but not this time around. Each and every one of our testers practically begged and pleaded with the ski company reps to leave their skis up on the hill until the lifts closed. Nobody could get enough.

To all of you testers, we'd like to thank you for being so enthused, and motivated to give each and every ski a solid testing. You made our job easy up there.

We'd also like to thank the friendly folks at Breckenridge who busted their butts to make it all happen for us. From the marketing and PR departments who helped behind the scenes, and also with the tough labor, to the Park Staff who shared their grill with us at lunch every day, to the lifties who kept us smiling, you guys all made our stay a most pleasurable one.

When it was all said and done, we'd collected a massive heap of test forms, and gotten a pretty good idea of which skis ranked as the collective favorites. For the next few months, we'll be sifting through all of our testers' comments and ratings, and we'll be packaging it all up, nice 'n pretty-like, in our annual Buyer's Guide.
