Biography

On February 18, 2014, David Wise became the first ever men’s Olympic gold medalist in halfpipe. Before that, winning the X Games superpipe competition consecutively for the last three years put David Wise on the map in a big way. He’s also gained a bit of fame thanks to his personal life, which he enjoys with his wife and young daughter. This season, Wise has been on a tear, taking home 1st place at the Dew Tour and US Grand Prix at Breckenridge, as well as the 2014 Winter X Games from Aspen. Wise was a front runner to win gold going into the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, and did not disappoint, taking home the top prize on the world stage, and introducing halfpipe skiing to the masses.
