Watch: Five friends, one van and the search for powder in Japan

Japan is known for its seemingly endless supply of powder in the winter months, but what happens when it’s unusually dry? This past season, skiers Cody Cirillo, Mark Nowakiwsky and Carson Morford, snowboarder Grant Giller and filmer Tucker Brumley, set off to the Land of the Rising Sun for two weeks—living in a van, experiencing the country’s unique culture and hunting for that famous, albeit unusually elusive, snow.
