On September 30, 2018, ski mountaineers Hilaree Nelson and Jim Morrison became the first people to ever summit and ski Lhotse–the fourth highest peak in the world. While the objective may seem bat-sh*t crazy to most, these kind of feats are exactly what Nelson and Morrison live for, a commonality that gravitated the two athletes to each other and eventually blossomed into a life partnership.
Together, in a matter of 30 days, the two successfully summited the 26,247-foot mountain and made sweet, Himalayan ski turns for 7,000 feet on the way down. The North Face Presents: Lhotse is the gripping account of the historic ski descent and a window into the minds of Nelson and Morrison as partners, parents and exceptional athletes.
