Growing up 5 minutes from Mt. Sunapee skiing was never a hassle. No major storm could keep me off the mountain. I could ski before I could walk, I learned in my own backyard on a pair of pink plastic skis. They were about as close to skis as two wooden planks, but they did the trick! Skiing had become a way of life over the years. First thing every morning I was up and off to the mountain. Skiing until the lifts closed I continued my day working at the local ski shop with sales and rental returns. I loved every minute of my ski days, there is nothing that can compare to them!
I raced for 9 years for both Sunapee and Cannon. I attended an amazing school that allowed our classes to end at noon during ski season so all the snow bunnies could ski and board all afternoon. What is better than that!
There is no better feeling than being the first one to cut tracks on fresh corduroy, and nothing compares to that rush you get when you are blowing through fresh powder first thing in the morning. Skiing isn’t just a sport- it’s a way of life!!
