Snowstorm Pounds Colorado

Snowstorm Pounds Colorado

A massive snowstorm is hammering the Front Range and many of Colorado’s ski resorts
This storm is just puking snow from Fort Collins to Castle Rock and the system looks like it will only intensify as the day progresses, according to the National Weather Service. Some areas of the foothills might see up to three feet of snow by the time the storm ends. The NWS also issued a Winter Storm Warning until 6 PM Thursday due to this incredible storm.

Aspen received 5’’ of snow over the past 24 hours while Keystone has seen nearly 8’’ of fresh POW on top of Decrum Mountain. Although many resorts have been blowing snow for weeks, this ‘natural boost’ from Mother Nature is greatly appreciated and with opening day around the corner, resorts will take whatever they can get. Lifts open in only nine days at Keystone, followed by the Nov. 12 opening of Breckenridge.

Winter is here so get ready to hit the mountains.
