Level 1 celebrated its 10th year of filmmaking with the world premiere of Refresh. The bar was set high with anticipation, but Josh Berman and crew went above and beyond this year, leaving the audience in complete awe!
The premiere took place at Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO. The venue was at max capacity and still had a line out the door. There was a little delay starting the feature presentation, because hundreds of kids were piling in the door during the estimated start. There was live music from DJ Hathbanger and Daywalker, plus tons of free product being tossed to keep the fans happy. Tom Wallisch, Tanner Rainville, Ahmet Dadali, Stefan Thomas, Mike Clarke, and Wiley Miller were busy signing posters. I have never seen a premiere so packed with so much energy in the crowd.
The screams did not stop until the show was over. Whether it was Wallisch slaying urban or Wiley ripping in AK, the Level 1 boys proved to the world that their hard work had paid off. Refresh has the perfect balance of urban, park, and backcountry. There is also an amazing surprise, which takes the feature to an entirely new level.
Level 1 Productions has an amazing element of creativity. Josh Berman has come a long way with his filmmaking and is only progressing, but it is also important to acknowledge the rest of the staff: Freedle Coty, Kyle Decker, Austin Holt, Tyler Weinberger, and Schui Baumann. Level 1 is more of a family than a production company. This family extends to their athletes.
The Refresh premiere wouldn’t of been complete without an after party. The crowd moved from Bluebird to RockBar. Jiberish helped host the event and made the after party possible. If you were unable to the first showing make sure to hit up next stop in Boulder, CO, on September 23rd. Otherwise be sure to pick up your own copy on [https://www.level1productions.com]
