Justin Dorey takes home second at FIS Freestyle World Championships

Every two years, the FIS holds the Freestyle World Championships Halfpipe event, and this year the comp was held at Alts Bandai Resort in Japan. Justin Dorey continued on the same war path he has been following all season. Dorey threw down the same run that won him the U.S. Freesking open the week before – a huge double-right 900-left 900-flat 360-switch 1080. Dorey was sitting in first and had the World Championship gold in hand until Kevin Rolland of France edged him out with a strong run that included a 12 and a double of his own at the end of the pipe. Congrats to Justin Dorey on another big podium, and we also want to wish him a speedy recovery from the broken collarbone he suffered a few days after the event on a big quarter pipe in Japan.
