There are few times as exciting as finding your seat in a movie theater, surrounded by your best friends, holding a poster signed by an athlete you’re about to watch on the big screen. As the lights dim and the opening sequence plays, the room begins to feel alive: There’s that collective, tangible feeling of the coming winter months and the countless more memories that everyone in the room dreams of making in the mountains.
Join FREESKIER and Matchstick Productions, as well as athletes Cody Townsend, Elyse Saugstad, Connery Lundin, Tanner Rainville and Sander Hadley, this Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the Paramount Theatre in Denver, Colorado, to share in the stoke and witness the latest release from the Crested Butte-based production company, DROP EVERYTHING. Gear giveaways, poster signings and edge of your seat excitement are guaranteed.
The Paramount’s doors will open to the public at 6:30 PM MST and the world premiere of DROP EVERYTHING will begin at 8:00 PM MST. Tickets for the show are $20 and available now by clicking right here. Additional details about the event can be found at SkiMovie.com.
From veteran Director Scott Gaffney, DROP EVERYTHING reminds us of the most important reason why we ski: to have fun. “I want to put entertainment at the forefront,” says Gaffney, “I want people walking away from our ski movie smiling, laughing and feeling like they can’t wait to click into their skis again.”
Taking this lighthearted approach, the crew at MSP wanted to recreate an old-school style comparable to the slapstick ways of Shane McConkey and Brad Holmes. Gaffney notes there will be “personal skier segments, a whole lot of character and personality, several elaborate skits, and quick-hitting comedy.”
