BOULDER, CO – FREESKIER magazine is thrilled to announce the appointment of Henrik Lampert to the position of Editor, effective immediately.
Henrik has been an instrumental part of the FREESKIER team since 2010, most recently serving as the brand’s online and digital editor. In his new position, Henrik will oversee the FREESKIER brand across all editorial platforms.
“I’m honored to be moving into this role,” says Lampert. “From the day I began working here, my foremost mission has been to share awesome skiing content on the web. And now, I have the privilege of striving for the same end, in both the print and digital realms.”
Henrik’s digital contributions to FREESKIER have been immense, and his field coverage has set a standard by which other journalists are measured. Beyond his digital work, Henrik has been involved in editorial planning, strategy and production for every print issue of FREESKIER since he joined the family. His progression to editor is an obvious move.
A former nationally ranked freeskiing competitor—and a ski tester for FREESKIER since 2006—Henrik is a skier first and foremost. Having a Norwegian mother who was an Olympic ski racer and a father who is an industry veteran, snow culture is engrained in his DNA.
“Henrik’s love for this sport and the people in it shines through in everything that he does,” says FREESKIER Founder, Bradford Fayfield. “His work ethic is unmatched, and his passion for this industry is truly intoxicating. We couldn’t be happier about having him carry the FREESKIER flag.”
