evo’s 2nd annual House Party in Seattle

evo’s 2nd annual House Party in Seattle

Friday, November 30th, evo hosted its 2nd annual party, appropriately dubbed, “House Party 2.” Located in the hip Fremont district of Seattle, evo world headquarters opened its doors to hundreds of invited guests who would dance the night away to beats spun by DJ Nick Catchdubs.

The theme of the party this year was simply, neon and dancing. Guests arrived in everything from neon tees to spandex to one guy in a bright tele-tubby costume. Headbands, plastic Wayfarer imitations and short shorts bounced, boogied and break danced the night away to 80s, hip hop and dance beats spun by the DJs and emcee Kid Sister. In addition to the free beverages and sunglasses, evo provided video and photo services for attendees. Employing a photo-booth by Usnaps.com(code: evosnaps2) and green screen dance videos, there was no short of fun to be had while waiting in line for the restroom.

As we arrived early to the party, there was a few guests, mostly congregating by the bar, clearly too sober to be self-conscious of their ridiculous neon outfit. But just like the shop, founder/owner Bryce Phillips — clad in a gold track jacket, matching gold shoes and neon shirt — got involved and broke the ice, dancing fast and furiously (and quite well) to some old school beats while more guests clambered in from the cold. Not only is he a sponsored big-mountain rider, but he can cut it up out there on the floor.

Notable guests included pro photographer Damian Cromwell, Mike Powell and Ryan Schmies from K2, Dustin Goss, Dan Egan and Ryan Goody from POW gloves, Peter Benedicto and Mark Romney from Giv, Gary Winberg from Nimbus Independent and Ryan Hayter of Hayter Communications fame. The night was filled with dancing and mingling by evo employees, industry players and customers alike. The night started to wind down eventually and people started to filter out as the space had to be returned to a ski and snowboard shop the very next morning. There is no doubt that everyone that attended wouldn’t soon forget this party and I’m sure they’ll be showing off their dance moves next year.

Freeskier would like to give a big thanks to Bryce Phillips, Grace Kim, Molly Hawkins, Matt Burdick and Nathan Decker at evo for a great night and an epic party.
