Crested Butte Freeskiing Comp 2nd & 4th
In the Subaru US Extreme Freeskiing Championships in Crested Butte Colorado February 23 2008, Colby Adams finishes 2nd in the women’s division and Drew Stoecklein finishes 4th in the men’s division,. Crested Butte opened the ‘Big Hourglass’ for the 4th time ever to have athletes ski it in the super finals. With the help from Mother Nature, the incredible amount of snow allowed for a very exciting comp.
Colby, a young and gifted athlete out of Breckenridge CO, has come to the freeskiing scene with a lot of experience as an ex-ski racer and a significant freestyle background. She is recovering from a slight knee injury so look out for her in the future.
Drew is one of our Lange/Look athletes that have had a consistent season thus far: placing 15th in Squaw, 9th in Telluride and now 4th in Crested Butte giving him a significant shot at the overall title. Skiing out of snowbird and Alta, Drew has all the skills necessary to make an impact this season.
