This comes after increasing animosity in Summit County over housing issues this past winter. The Summit Daily reported the growing conflict in Summit County between Vail Resorts and its seasonal employees in the area who were struggling to find affordable housing.

Ben & Jerry’s and New Belgium Brewing team up once again in support of POW
This year, the brands have come together again, this time building off of B&J’s wildly popular (and delicious) Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream to produce the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale, set to line liquor store shelves in the fall. The goal is to collect $50,000 in proceeds for POW.

Pro skier Gus Kenworthy has received a nomination for the 2016 ESPY Awards, an annual event hosted by ESPN which recognizes the best athletes in the world. The nomination is for the Best Male Action Sports Athlete category, following a more-than-noteworthy season from the Telluride, Colorado native.

Woodward—a leader in action sports camps and programs across the nation—has announced that it will build a new location in Park City, Utah. Though “still in the design and development stages,” it appears that the new facility will open by early winter 2017.

The North Face just crushed this short film, honoring longest day of the year
The short film follows The North Face athletes David Carrier-Porcheron, Johnny Collinson, Ian Macintosh, Tom Wallisch, Cedar Wright and Alex Johnson through beautiful BC. Skier and stuntman extraordinaire Rory Bushfield also makes frequent appearances, skiing, boating and piloting his plane.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort to hold inaugural Donation Day in support of Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation
For a number of years Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR), located smack dab in the middle of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, has allowed skiers and snowboarders to ski free for its opening day regardless of age, height, weight, etc. This year, the resort known for its harrowing steeps has opted for a different promotion that will be more beneficial to the local community.
