Maiden 102
Icelantic
$879.00
For 2024-25, Icelantic unveils a completely redesigned Maiden collection. The revamped series is now closer to a symmetrical twin tip line, with double the amount of camber underfoot and deep rocker in the tip and tail that provides premium float in soft snow. Combine those updates with four carbon stringers above and below a poplar wood core and you get the new Maiden 102—livelier and poppier, with more rebound from edge-to-edge and tip-to-tail than past iterations.
Icelantic also updated the tip and tail construction, as well as the ski’s shape, to reduce swing weight and make throwing tricks easier, all while maintaining its carving capabilities. Our testers agree this is not the ski to set a speed record, but they could not deny how fun the Maiden 102 was.
“Take them into the trees and find some fresh pow to play in. You’ll see what a well-made Rocky Mountain-built ski feels like,” commented one tester. “Super competent, well-balanced and responsive. These twin-tipped shredders are made for quick, decisive turns in moguls, on steep terrain and in the trees.”
The 102 is the middle child of the three Maiden widths, the others being 94- and 108-mm underfoot, and all of them have a progressive, forward mounting point. If you’re a skier looking for every side hit and cat track to practice your bag of tricks, the new Maiden 102 will inspire confidence to go a little bit bigger, spin a little bit faster and ski a little bit longer. To top it off, the topsheet of the Maiden 102, designed by Travis Parr, gives serious desert goddess vibes, and we’re here for it.
