Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to tackle the 1,368-vertical-gain up Snowmass Mountain. You can tackle the hill using snowshoes, stabilizers, telemark skis, or anyway that fits your needs. All participants are invited to the post-race celebration at Elk Camp for a pancake breakfast & prize giveaways.
This uphill event honors the memory of Chris Bove, a former ski instructor and supporter of Challenge Aspen, who passed away on the eve of the event in 2007. The uphill raises money for a scholarship in Chris’ name so that locals, with a disability, have the opportunity to participate in Challenge Aspen programming.
