California’s finest Noah Gaffney is no stranger to massive hucks, but this one might take the cake. The Blizzard Tecnica rider has been putting on a clinic all year, as his Instagram has been overflowing with big mountain freeride in its finest form. After years of eyeing down this giant, he finally had the chance to send a double backflip off this huge cliff at Palisades Tahoe. If you ever think that pro skiers have an easy job, think again. This short compilation shows the true process of trial and error as Gaffney takes two spills, and yet he climbs back up for more. We highly recommend cranking the volume on his third hit to hear what raw excitement and bravery sounds like. Continuing the Gaffney namesake, he is one of our favorite skiers to watch right now.

Stoked to finally accomplish one of my major goals at Palisades Tahoe yesterday! I’d been thinking about doing double backflip off this cliff for years and finally yesterday the conditions and takeoff lined up just right for it to go down. Couldn’t be more stoked with how it turned out!
