She is a professional skier riding for huge brands like Atomic, Red Bull and the North Face. She’s a 3x World Champ on the Freeride World Tour. She lives to ski, and skis to live.
Normally you can find Ari spinning a massive cliff or making picture perfect powder turns, and while there’s plenty of that in this edit, the focus is on something different. A poor winter 22/23 in the Alps gave the perfect fuel for her to consider her relationship to skiing, and skiings relationship to the world. In “What if…?”, Tricomi expresses her philosophical questions on the cultural and physical future of skiing.

Winter 2023 in the Alps is a special one. It is really dry everywhere and not one single place has a good snowpack. For professional freeskier Arianna Tricomi this inevitably brings up some questions.
What if this is our future? What if this is only an exception? What if we finish our water supplies way earlier than expected? And what if this job – my job as a skier – is ruining my passion towards skiing during such a hard winter?
