Kai Jones Combines Park and Big Mountain in Latest Edit – “My Take”

The kid is one of the most versatile skiers around, there’s no debating that. Kai Jones has been a powerful force in freeskiing for several years. Long before he could drive, he was putting down dub backflips and ripping big lines in the Jackson Hole backcountry.

His latest edit, “My Take,” is a wildly impressive mashup of summer clips in the park at Mt. Hood and huge spines in Alaska. There’s so much good skiing out there it’s easy to become numb to the talent, but don’t take this one for granted. Few people could ski each of these disciplines like Jones does, and he’s only 18 years old. Recovered from injury and skiing strong, this is light work for him. Keep an eye out for the young gun as he’ll be competing in Natural Selection Ski, dropping on April 17.
